Not "Genuine"....Just GOOD!
Hello Bakery Fans - So many of you have stopped in and commented about the curiously placed "Genuine Bakery"
signs that litter the downtown area and asked what "genuine bakery" means. Well we have no idea either but we do
know this much; we don't do fancy or fussy...we just do GOOD! We appreciate the loyalty and the smirks
you give us as you make humorous note of the signs...we figure some folks just elect to spend their profits on advertising
and trying to get attention.
We tend to let our food speak for itself...and apparently you hear us loud and clear!
We are gearing up for Mother's Day...the orders are coming in fast and furious. You better mark those calendars
and don't forget mom! Coconut Cake, Chocolate Cake and ironically Pecan, Bourbon Pecan and Apple Pie seem to top the list.
(Want to be different? Get Mom a Kahlua Cake...she will thank you!) Give us a call or order online...better yet, stop by and
try a few things out first. (Might as well "test drive" mom's present plus get a few goodies for yourself? Right?)
Special hello to so many teachers and faculty of Forsyth County schools that stop by. We appreciate the job you do
and we know you are looking forward to summer break. We are so glad many of you start your day with our doughnuts and eclairs
and we appreciate you celebrating birthdays and baby showers with our cupcakes and award-winning cakes!
Thanks
for the laughs this week...and yes we promise to stay "genuinely good!" <evil grin>

Thanks for the Tea - Love, The Doughnut Czar
Hello Bakery Fans - Yesterday was a defining moment for me both as an American and a Taxpayer. The Tea Party in downtown
Cumming and the bigger party in downtown Atlanta was an incredible moment of history and democracy and one that I was thrilled
to share with my children. Thanks to all of you who came out, did your part and gave us many laughs. We are truly humbled
to have been asked to be a part of this movement.
Thanks also for an amazing Easter weekend as well. Your emails
and phone calls about goodies you took home and to family gatherings and parties has been awesome. We are always excited at
every glowing review and we appreciate your feedback.
Since everyone is apparently a "Czar" these days
if you follow D.C. logic I have decided that in addition to my self-moniker of "The Rebel Baker" I hereby annoit
myself "Doughnut Czar." I will bring doughnut goodness and rich, white chocolate, milk chocolate and cinnamon to
every crevice of the land. Every day is a delicious path of homemade doughnut (size of a softball) love.
Let them
have doughnuts...and I, as your Czar will make them. (So...I guess this makes Dan "Windex Czar" now too....) ha
ha We are indeed Home of "THOSE" Doughnuts.... See you this week.

April Showers, Easter Flowers and Tea Parties...
Hello Bakery Fans - Easter is upon us and while the kiddies are off on Spring Break this week make sure you take
that extra few minutes to remind yourself how extraordinary beautiful Atlanta is in the Springtime. Bring on the Dogwoods! Bring on the Coconut Cake too! That's right, get those Easter orders in as soon as you can. Most popular so far is the
triple layer Coconut Cake and the Strawberry Daiquiri Cake. We also have some cute Easter sugar cookies all painted up as
bunnies and Easter Eggs too. On Wednesday April 15th, better known as Tax (pay them if you aren't
an elected official) Day The Laughing Elephant is very proud to be hosting the Forsyth County Taxpayers Teaparty from
5:30pm until..... We are very flattered and honored to be asked to be the official hosting location so bring
your lawn chairs, your frustration AND YOUR TEA! The big celebration hosted by Sean Hannity will be downtown but those of
you who don't want to stomach a trip downtown are encouraged to come gather with your community and neighbors for great
food and conversation. We hope to see you there. Happy Easter Week and see you soon -
