Turkey Hangover and Fruitcake Bombs...
Hello Bakery Fans... Well Thanksgiving is behind us and a BIG THANK YOU to you, Forsyth County for making this past week
one for the record books!! Yes, it is true I worked 45 hours non-stop getting all 120+ orders out the door on time (and thanks
to Mom for helping me in my hours of need!) We got it all done and you guys cleaned us out Wednesday the 26th. We literally
had nothing but a few stray pieces of Biscotti left. Fried Turkey woke me up Thursday and we were back at it again Friday
and Saturday.
So...here is the fall out from the Gobble Hobble this past week; GET YOUR CHRISTMAS ORDERS
IN AS SOON AS POSSIBLE!We appreciate the business and the awesome emails and calls we have gotten telling us
how much you loved your baked yummies this week. We have a funny feeling you will back for more for Christmas so guarantee
your spot in the exclusive line and order now. We will likely have to stop taking orders once we reach full capacity. (Yes,
the nerd in me has indeed calculated products multiplied by time divided by oven space to determine how much we can do per
day to meet all orders.) We will have Christmas cookies (decorated and everything) this week and we are adding a few holiday
items too. But no...no Fruitcake Bombs will be available. Sorry to disappoint but fruitcakes were only meant to be paperweights
or doorstops and they remind me of an annoying relative I have. But I digress...
Oh one new item to add, for those
of you venturing across 400 to The Avenue at Forsyth, go see our friends at The Chocolaterie, the Chocolate Superstore. Not
only do they have gorgeous, amazing chocolate but if the cupcakes look familiar - they are indeed cupcakes from The Laughing
Elephant. We are proud to partner with The Chocolaterie to offer our monster cupcakes to those seeking quality chocolate goods.
Don't forget December 8th is our live TV appearance on "Everyday With Marcus and Lisa" cooking up Red
State Red Velvet Poundcake. You can find us on Family Net (Comcast) and also on AOLTV and Sirius Channel 181. We are on between
11am and noon. Hope we don't embarass ourselves!
CONGRATS fellow Yellow Jackets! How about that 48-45 score
today?? PROUD TO BE A FUZZY BEE.....

Thanksgiving Day is Coming...So Mr. Turkey Said....
Hello Bakery Fans... Well my mom is singing that annoying song so it must be Turkey Time! Some of you smart Forsythians
already got your orders in for our amazing pies pretty early so you are all set. However, due to demand as well as
only 24 hours in a day we are going to have to unfortunately cut off orders for Thanksgiving pick up by Saturday the 22nd
at noon. Yep, thats right - order between now and Saturday at noon to get your items in time for Thanksgiving. We
are sorry but we will not be able to accept online orders for Tuesday or Wednesday pick up after Saturday at noon. Please
call (770) 888-9389 if you are unsure about your order.
See you this week!

Blog from the Fog - Bad Baker Blues
Hello Bakery Fans. Yes, I heard from more than a few of you that I had left you hanging with no blog for a week or two (or
three) and from this foggy night in Atlanta I can tell you I have a good excuse...we have been busy! Still I am a poor corespondent
for not being more up to date. (Whack- whack-whack on my head with a frying pan...)
First of all congrats to Icon
All Stars Youth 2 Cheer team for a killer performance today at the Athletic National Championships. The Rebel Baker played
hooky from the bakery today to watch my first born "flip-flopper" tumbler back-handspring her way with her team
to a first place performance. Way to go girls!
Now on to all things bakery - here is a gentle suggestion; get your
Thanksgiving orders in now. (Yep, NOW! )The orders are really piling up and there will be no sleep for The
Rebel Baker the week of Thanksgiving. Seriously, beer donations will be accepted because there will be little else going on
but making pie crusts. If that crabby bunch of in-laws (or out-laws) are headed your way for "Turkey and Squabbling"
then shut them up quick with one of our amazing apple or pecan or pumpkin pies. I highly recommend it!
Big hello
to Otwell Middle School as we are meeting more and more of you each day as the lore of our famous doughnuts has made it to
your halls. Thanks for coming in and we always have the doughnuts each morning...hot, chocolatey and ready to go!
Last of all - Happy Anniversary today to my long suffering spouse, "Mr. Rebel Baker." It was 11 years ago today
that you made the one decision your family never forgot. (Ha ha....maybe that's why they never come to see us!)
See you this week Forsyth and THANK YOU for supporting us -
