I'm so glad we had this time...together.....
Hello Bakery Fans -
Well the title of this entry likely gives away my age as the old Carol Burnett sign off is a classic.
Unfortunately it is true for us as well.
We are closing our beloved bakery in July (exact date TBD)
We have
loved being your favorite bakery these past 12 months; your laughter, your suggestions, your ideas, your recipes and even
your word of mouth to all your friends and neighbors has humbled us and made us happy. However in these economic times it
has become nearly impossible to afford to stay open. Cost to do business has risen, cost of insurance, boxes and even credit
cards fees have gone up.
To make it worse, despite the infusion of our tax dollars to big banks -NOBODY is lending
money. I don't care what the media or the banks themselves are saying...the (big, national, well-known)bank killed
us. They capped our business loan and refused to help a profitable and stable business. Local banks told us to get
lost... We have no choice but to close.
We will be more specific on the exact date very soon in July...but
we wanted you to be the first to know...we have already cried all the tears that can be shed. We will miss you all.
THANK YOU FORSYTH!!! God Bless You ALL - and God please help us! We need it.
